Kimberly A. Booth Chicoine
Managing Partner
In her twenty-five-plus years of practice, Kimberly has primarily served in the area of family law as both an attorney and mediator. She has extensive training and experience in screening for domestic intimate partner abuse and assisting clients and parties in high-conflict situations. Kimberly has received her certificate for basic mediation, family law mediation, and Specialized Alternative Dispute Resolution (high conflict), completed the Parenting Coordinator Training, and trained in the collaborative divorce practice. She is an approved Parenting Act mediator with the State of Nebraska and serves as a mediator on the 4-3 Panel in Douglas County, Nebraska.
In her practice, Kimberly is focused on working with her clients to find a resolution that meets their needs. Using her experience, training, and negotiation skills, she works towards amicable resolutions instead of the courtroom fight that only tends to cause heightened animosity and hostility when families are already going through a difficult time. She focuses on the best interests of her clients through personal attention and care to help them through this difficult time in their lives.
Kimberly earned her JD from Creighton University School of Law in 1998 and was admitted to practice in Nebraska, Iowa, and before the United States Supreme Court. She is a contributing author for the 2019 Family Law Practice Manual. Kimberly is a member of the Office of Dispute Resolution Advisory Council for the Nebraska Supreme Court, a member of the Nebraska Mediation Association, and a member of the Family Law and ADR sections of the Nebraska State Bar Association. In 2024, Kimberly accepted the invitation to become a Fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation.

Tyler’s approach to practicing law is to work closely with his clients, helping them understand the legal process and achieve their goals. Open communication between an attorney and client is vital, and Tyler’s genuine desire to learn about his clients and understand their needs fosters a strong attorney-client relationship.
Tyler has an extensive background as a trial attorney. He served many years as the Assistant County Attorney in Sioux County, Iowa, obtaining invaluable experience trying cases to verdict in bench and jury trials. In addition to overseeing criminal prosecutions, Tyler represented the State of Iowa in mental health and substance abuse committal proceedings, advised the county on employment and real estate matters, drafted ordinances, and served on the county employee board.
The knowledge and experience Tyler gained from his years as a government attorney now benefit his clients in private practice. Through his years of experience in private practice from running his law firm, working at a small firm in Iowa, and working at a larger firm, he has a wide range of experiences as he has focused his practice on serving his clients in the areas of real estate, estate planning and administration, probate, elder law, landlord/tenant matters, guardianships and conservatorships, business planning, and civil litigation related to those practice areas.
